Trade Marketing Manager Travel Retail APAC for a leading European confectionary company.
- REPORTS TO Regional Sales & Market Manager Travel Retail APAC
JOB PURPOSE
- Responsible for the trade marketing activities across the different channels and countries in APAC, in line with the overall Trade Marketing and Communication strategy.
- Customer satisfaction as main priority, being the contact point/person between marketing department, product management and sales teams to ensure achievement of sales and budget objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all trade marketing activities for GTR APAC, in line with global strategy.
- Liaise with HQ trade marketing, product management and APAC Sales to ensure achievement of marketing objectives, sales and budget targets.
- Develops and implements APAC trade marketing plan including trade activations, events, instore POS visibility projects, manages, and ensures efficient spending of budget in line with Sales objectives
- Aligns with HQ Marketing, localize global strategy/guidelines, support activation plans to be executed at a regional level and ensure budget effectiveness and maximize ROI.
- Drives regional initiatives with HQ i.e. Asian Festive, Limited Editions. Create sales kits, key local visuals, POS, digital/social media communications, and gift with purchase, etc.
- Manages the point of sales material (including budget, logistics, distribution, assortment ) by finding the most efficient solutions.
- Initiates and supports the Sales team with initiatives, programs to help achieve the sales objectives or meet market needs.
- Execution of training programs, ensure Lindt ensuring that brand equity and product benefits are properly communicated during staff training sessions.
- Conducts regular market analysis on competitors and market to better understand the needs of the market, identify opportunities and improvements.
- Collaborates with marketing intelligence resource to read and report results of activities and to provide recommendations and forecasts.
- Ensures perfect in-store executions including planograms, SPP/HPP activations.
- Assist local team in the execution of the activities and in achieving their sales and budget objectives, while ensuring the desired product benefits and brand values/equity are properly communicated.
- Provides key category input, performs promotional analysis, program development as key insight to sales to drive the business in the region.
- Ensures that the local customer feedback is considered by regularly visiting sales teams, customers and stores.
- Responsibility of TFWA Singapore trade fair organization and execution.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Functional Knowledge & Capabilities
- Knowledge of marketing and trade marketing activities, tools and techniques
- Knowledge of category management and assortment
- Knowledge of trade channels APAC level (mass market and traditional trade) is highly recommended
- Knowledge of most important IT tools is needed

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3-5 years of trade marketing management experience is needed
- FMCG experience is a must
- Relevant experience in international, modern companies
- Former Experience/background in Sales is highly recommended
- Travel Retail experience
- Distributor Management as an advantage
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in marketing or comparable is needed
- Master and or any other further qualification in marketing / trade marketing is appreciated
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Fluency in English (both speaking and writing) / Chinese is an advantage
- Knowledge of further languages is appreciated
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Passion for travel
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (PPT, Word, Excel)
