Implementing and communicating legal, risk and compliance policies and processes for all countries within AsiaPac.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

- Monitor legal and risk and give guidance on the acceptable assumption of risk.
- Explain the law and give legal advice with experience in drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal/compliance guidelines
- Cross collaborate with Data Privacy, HR, IT, Security and L&D, as required to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
- Support the Territory Risk Leader to ensure that team members work effectively and proactively with business teams and industry participants to advise and assist in the management of legal, risk and compliance matters
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control

**Qualifications**

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelors degree

Required Fields of Study: Law or related field

Minimum Years of Experience: 7 years

Certification(s) Required: Nil

Other Requirements:

- Must be proficient in written and spoken English, Japanese or Chinese is a plus
- Strong in commercial matters, some exposure to labor & employment and some exposure to governance type issues
- Willingness to learn industry compliance standards and regulations
- Strong computer and research skills; knowledge of Tax is highly preferred
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work with and advise more senior leadership on key issues
