Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounting reporting to the Finance Manager
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information.
- Assist Manager - Finance & Accounts, to finalize monthly, quarterly and yearly balance sheet, profit & loss statement, and other group’s reporting requirements.
- Substantiates financial transactions & schedules by auditing documents.
- Maintain accounting controls and policy documents. Maintain financial procedures by following internal controls and help to improve financial statements close process (FSCP).
- Assist Accounts Payable and shared service teams by coordinating activities to ensure a timely recording of transactions.
- Coordinate with the shared service center (SSC) to ensure the deliverables are received as per the agreed timeline.
- Coordinate to reconcile financial balance (Customers & Vendors) discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations and clear all unpresented and unidentified transactions.
- Secure financial information & documents by completing data base backups.
- Verify & validate payments and the supporting documentation.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends upon management’s requirement.
- Preparing/Review GST/SST working and submission before due date.
- Assist the management in monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation.
- Review and monitor asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Review accounting reports, schedules and questions by researching and highlight all anomalies to line managers and to help shared service team clear the balances.
- Review the monthly inventory balances and to review the respective valuations.
- Update and maintain a complete Fixed Assets register and embed controls to ensure the assets are safe guarded. 2 Additional requirements
- Contribute the finance team with a team sprit by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Extend a full support to the finance team to meet the reporting deadlines.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. - Have a fair understanding on the International and Malaysian financial, legal requirements and new legislation
