**Overview of the Market Development Manager (APAC) role**:

- Position will report directly into the Head of Commercial (APAC) and will be based full time in Singapore.
- Lead our customer engagement for key accounts in Vertical's $6bn pre-order book.
- Develop new customers and launch ecosystems and lead development of one or more of the key aircraft in-service support programmes and partnerships.

**What will you be doing?**

The role will be part of Vertical's Commercial team. It will support key account management for Vertical's customers in the APAC region. Key responsibilities will include:

- Business model, operational and strategic support for each customer as well as ongoing relationship management.
- Conducting market studies and business analysis, as well as providing support to our customer's go-to-market strategies in preparation for the launch and implementation of commercial operations of the VX4 Aircraft.
- Identify key ecosystem stakeholders, and work closely with our customers/operators, both public and private stakeholders, regulators and ecosystems partners to develop a safe and reliable service in each market.
- Generate market insights and provide guidance for 'product' development internally, while identifying new market and business opportunities externally.
- Lead our global development of a commercial in-service offer for customers on MRO, battery services, pilot training or other support packages - where you will bring existing industry knowledge or experience on the topic to all our customers worldwide.

Please note, given the nature of the role, although the primary work location will be Singapore, travel will be required for up to 20-30% of the time.

**What skills and experience would we like you to bring?**

Essential Qualifications/Experience required:

- Proven experience in aerospace, airlines or aviation, consulting, mobility and/or business development with responsibility for strategic project execution
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Business/Economics or other relevant fields
- Experience working with emerging technology and/or market launch, ideally in in a highly regulated environment
- Familiarity and business experience in the Asia-Pacific market, especially in Japan and relevant Asian languages
- Strong ability in market analysis, financial modelling, strategic planning and execution, project management, and preparation of commercial offerings;
- Aptitude and experience in complex stakeholder management, account management and building customer or other relationships
- Demonstrated ability to be entrepreneurial to convert new market opportunities in business potential
- Self-driven, with experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, with demonstrated critical thinking and on-time project delivery
- Good team player, strong people skills

Desirable Qualifications/Experience would be:

- Master's Degree in relevant field or equivalent working experience
- Experience, knowledge and network in aircraft MRO, battery supply chains, or aircraft in service support for either fixed wing or helicopters
- Experience in the AAM/ UAM Commercial eVTOL or UAS market launch
- Experience in regulatory and ecosystem development
- Japanese language (business proficiency) preferred; or other Asian languages will be considered
