MAIN JOB PURPOSE/BUSINESS CONTEXT
Globally, Sunsilk has an undisputable leadership in the hair portfolio being the brand with the highest share in its universe. It is one of the few 1 Billion EURO brand within Unilever and growth has been consistent year on year. Sunsilk is also the 2nd biggest personal care brand in penetration, reaching almost a quarter of global consumers. Sunsilk is a true global brand, with presence across 40 markets and counting - with focus mainly in the D&E markets.
Sunsilk’s brand purpose is to help girls open up possibilities. We want to see girls everywhere thriving, but it is still a struggle. Our role in the world is to help open up possibilities for them so they can imagine a brighter future and then go and live it.
The Assistant Brand Development Manager will support Global Brand Manager to lead global innovation and communication projects and to manage Sunsilk Business performance in SEA in building a sharply defined, purpose-led brand focusing on serving our core target to drive growth for the brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Global Brand Manager in managing and landing global projects (e.g. craft mix and communication model for innovations, as well as BLG campaigns on Core)
- Support the Global Brand Manager to dock with key markets in SEA (e.g. Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand) to deliver financial growth for Sunsilk SEA
- Support Global Brand Manager to craft a purpose-led communication asset
- Craft best-in-class digital content strategy (precision marketing & influencer)
- Act as Global Project leader for assigned innovation projects including driving overall project, network management, business case development, team management, and gatekeeping to ensure On Time in Full and successful launch.
- Act as Global leader to monitor & review the effectiveness of project implementation & brand performance in SEA markets, to propose corrective actions.
- Support the Global Brand Manager to Execute brand strategy in the cluster while analyzing brand performance and proactively identifying issues and opportunities for future brand growth.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-2 years in brand development
- Experience in communication crafting (advertising, content, influencer, etc.)
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in innovation management (including IPM/business-case development & leading taskforce project meetings and network)
- Strong team player with passion for growth
- Experience in partnering and collaborating with country teams
- Strong Bias for Action and positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Experience in delivering powerful brand communication (including ATL, digital & influencer) is a plus.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Self-driven marketer with talent to craft exceptional product launch mixes & communication assets
- Eyes for beauty
- Strong data & analytic capabilities to read, use, and leverage data to mine insight and define opportunities
- Excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively within the global team as well as with local teams.
