Purpose
- Execution and support of the Global Ocean Freight Trade Lane strategy within assigned Region with special focus on
- the optimization of the Regional and Cluster FCL procurement and GP safeguarding activities
- the assurance of a sustainable Regional Ocean Freight Carrier portfolio
- the optimization of the global VIP (Volume Incentive Plan) program through regional contribution
- the expansion of the Regional Schenker market share/FCL footprint by driving opportu-nities through all regional and / or cluster (or countries) sales channels (VM’s, Enter-prise accounts, Field sales..) including Ocean Solutions, Sales and sales Planning.
- driving and promoting business growth above market at profitable growth within as-signed Region (geography and/or verticals)
- the optimization of the Regional Ocean Freight Trade Lane activities and implemen-tation of a TLM business structure in the Region and in the Clusters/or Countries (as needed) in alignment with Global Head of Trade.

Main Tasks

Accountable
- Develops, promotes and trains innovative procurement models, concepts and
- initiatives to improve overall product competitiveness in Clusters/Countries and/or Trades within assigned Region.
- Identifies, develops and promotes pricing models to increase footprint of the regional
- FCL product in alignment with Global Head of Trades.
- Executes and cascades DB Schenker Global (or aligned Regional) Preferred Ocean Carri-er strategy within the assigned Region and into the clusters/countries and increases the overall VIP contribution of the assigned Region to the Global Ocean Freight’s product re-sults
- Negotiates, procures, prices FCL rates for all kinds of FCL ocean freight business opportu-nities (focus on regional opportunities) and supports local trade teams to achieve best pro-curement results as well as optimal pricing with customers on an end to end basis.
- Liaises with the cluster/country counterparts in assigned region as well as regional coun-terparts regions to identify synergies and evaluate further opportunities for development.
- Develops and aligns, promotes, executes and steers Regional Trade Lane strategies and optimizes the FCL related business structure
- Develops, aligns, implements, executes, trains regional Trade guidelines for increase of volume and quality of the FCL product within the regional organization
- Executes, supports and monitors the globally binding Trade Lane strategy into the region and its’ clusters/countries and ensures the clear split of responsibility for Trade Lane activi-ties between stakeholders (ie global/region/cluster/country/biz unit)
- Aligns, implements and monitors the Regional FCL Trade Lane budget with the clus-ters/countries including execution and defining the Regional / Cluster Trade strategy, moni-toring and controlling of FCL volume performance as well as GP performance and man-agement of deviations
- Processes and aligns regional trade lane related marketing in cooperation with Global Head of Trade, Regional Ocean Solutions as well as Sales and Sales Planning
- Executes, promotes and actively supports Ocean Freight PRIMUS plan with focus on Re-gional Trade strategy
- Creates regional Ocean Freight FCL market analysis in close cooperation with Clus-ter/Country management and regional Ocean Solutions
- Defines Trade Lane related business requirements for new and innovative solutions, incl best practice sharing amongst regions and clusters.
- Drives and supports Regional Ocean Solutions, Sales and Sales Planning on Regional and Cluster Trade level regarding identification and acquisition of strategic FCL accounts by defining account strategies (regional accounts) as well as supporting account strate-gies (for global or international) accounts and attendance on key customer meetings
- Continued pursuit of regional and local development of talent management
- To lead the allocation setup and management for optimal utilization across all carriers
