
Business Support Officer

Reporting into the Business Support Team Manager, as the Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing policy administrative services, supporting all consumer lines business within the Operations department. The role requires the incumbent to:
- Support Operations Team in Business Processes.
- Ensure customers’ policy end to end transactions are processed, fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in projects, system enhancement, user acceptance test (UAT), providing feedback on system adequacies and any adhoc tasks, as assigned by the manager.This function also requires the incumbent to have an eye for detail, work in a challenging and fast past environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide policy administrative support across multiple Operations functions which includes creation and maintenance of customers and policy data.
- Respond to customers’ queries relating to operations matters.
- Support quality checks on existing business processes.
- Work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure operations processes are running smoothly, business support tasks are completed with high level of accuracy and within SLA (Service Level Agreement).
- Support Product launches/setup processes/new business initiatives by performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support new initiatives and ensuring no disruption to Business processes.
- Work together with Team to identify, document, and propose new processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Regular reporting to the Team Manager on activities relating to the role
- Work cohesively within the team and stakeholders to achieve company and department objectives.
- Provide ad hoc administrative support as per business requirements, as assigned by Team Manager.
Desired Qualifications & Skillset
- At least GCE “A” Level or Diploma in any field.
- Preferred insurance certified papers such as BCP, PGI, HI or have telesales experience preferred, but not a pre-requisite.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in policy servicing and administration, preferably within the insurance industry
- A team player with strong sense of responsibility and good time management
- Mature, independent, self-motivated, able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Possess positive work attitude, analytical with problem-solving skills and meticulous
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word)
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well verbally and in writing and customer focused
