Roles & Responsibilities
**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive approach to Innovation.
- Sourcing and Partnership Management to stimulate and access novel useful technologies including toosl (e.g. Innovation flow) and position.
- Discovery as the partner of choice in alignment with the market strategy defined for Discovery and the Innovation Partnership governance - for the perimeter of APAC:

- Be knowledgeable of portfolio gaps, priorities and forward-looking areas to translate those into scouting priorities.
- Drive Innovation culture across the organization and manage internal workflow for scouting.
- Monitor regional innovation ecosystems related to technical research areas and translate into competitive and scientific intelligence.
- Be accountable to grow the global external network of partners, create relationships with best-in-class organizations to leverage know-how, acquire ground-breaking solutions and technology, products and services that will contribute to the growth of Discovery.
- Ensure diligent evaluation of external opportunities coming from different scouting channels. Drive due diligence process. for technologies/assets through fulfilling a leadership role in the 3rd party evaluation process and the Discovery governance process.
- Ensure Innovation sourcing and Partnership development for diligent execution of the negotiation process.
- Manage partnership management (post signature) as related to third-party portfolio. Perform Partnerships Health checks.
**WHO YOU ARE**:

- PhD with minimum 8 years relevant experience, or MSc with minimum 12 years relevant experience, or BSc with minimum 14 years relevant experience in LIFE Sciences.
- R&D background with minimum 3 years experience in leading Innovation Scouting, Open Innovation or R&D projects involving external partners.
- Leadership experience in engaging stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset ; see future opportunities and translate them into concrete actions.
- Knowledgeable in innovation methodologies.
- Track record of building innovation networks.
