**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Thanks to a STEM background in relevant disciplines, the Innovation Project Manager (“**IPM**”) will contribute to deal sourcing and execution, delivering consulting services to clients, and have an active role in the Future Food Asia operations (competition + conference). The IPM will also be expected to contribute creatively to developing the reputation and business of IDC, building on the ‘Future Food Asia’ brand and unique value proposition.

**(1)**Deal sourcing**
- Source the next APAC tech success stories by actively engaging with the innovation ecosystem (VCs, incubators, accelerators, start-ups, conferences, etc.)
- Have direct responsibility on some APAC markets (list TBD), to develop potential partnerships and investment opportunities
- Scout startups, profile them and operate the 1st high-level selection based on ID Capital’s investment thesis and due diligence process
- Lead technology and product assessment, evaluation of competitive landscape and preparation of investment recommendations
- Document the interaction and maintain knowledge base on sourced deals

**(2)**Innovation consulting & advisory**
- Contribute to delivering services to corporate clients
- Identify trends, opportunities, issues in the relevant investment sectors and help define and develop new productized services

**(3)**FUTURE FOOD ASIA platform**
- Help source exceptional speakers and contribute to building the conference agenda
- Assist in marketing & communication

**EXPERIENCE**
- Master’s degree or PhD in food science, biotechnology, chemistry, biology, agricultural life sciences, or related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in innovation-related positions
- Proficiency in understanding and communicating on science, and being able to identify experts as and when needed
- Business command of Mandarin Chinese (written & spoken)

- Sincere and deep interest for the Food & Agriculture sector and sustainability challenges
- Intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest for technology and innovation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with capacity and experience to translate research findings into investment recommendations
- Capacity to navigate the 3 different facets of IDC’s activity (consulting & advisory, investment, ecosystem building)
