**Job Overview**

The Center for Non-Profit Leadership (CNPL) is the leadership consulting arm of NVPC that advocates planned leadership and nurtures leadership capability for the non-profit sector. It adopts an eco-system approach and supports the Charity Council/Unit to achieve a well-governed and thriving charity sector with strong public support. One of the key strategic focus areas is in the building of capability and capacity to strengthen governance and leadership for our Charities/Non-Profits.

In this role, the incumbent must be able to demonstrate competence as a Strategic Advisor/Thought partner to Board Chair/Board Members/Executive Directors; Lead engagement sessions (i.e. solutioning) with Board Chair/Members and Senior Leaders in the Charity/NPO sector to drive effective governance and leadership best practices.

In addition, the incumbent must also develop, implement, and sustain a structured Board/Executive mentoring/coaching programme to enhance non-profit leadership capacity and capability. The incumbent is also expected to curate governance and leadership learning modules and best practices sharing sessions.

**Core Duties And Responsibilities**
- Lead (incl. provision of advisory services) engagements with Board Chair/Members and Senior Leaders in the Charity/NPO sector to drive effective governance and leadership best practices (incl. but not limited to leadership and organisational development) via multiple channels (e.g. Board Advisory services, BoardConnect forums, roadshows, events, etc.).
- Implement and sustain Board engagement strategies and associated plans (e.g. Board talent renewals, succession policies and diversity, etc.).
- Implement and sustain a structured approach to scope out NPO requirements, needs and competencies/skills for Board & Committees-type positions.
- Review and enhance current STAR Mentoring programme for Board/Senior Mgmt.
- Develop and maintain positive engagement with all levels of stakeholders (incl. Government Agencies, e.g. MCCY, Charities Unit, etc., Sector Administrators, Professional Associations, etc.) with non-profit Boards/Senior Management.
- Identify and work with partner organisations (e.g. Professional Associations, corporates, consulting agencies, learning institutions etc.) and/or individuals in enhancing and/or developing operating models that help build the C&C for the sector.
- Cultivate strong non-profit relationships and act directly as a strategic advisor/thought partner to Board Chair/Board Members/Executive Directors.
- Support team efforts to achieve set targets and outcomes.

**Key Deliverables**
- Develop outreach strategies to increase awareness of CNPL’s services and products to Charity/NPO Boards. Develop and execute plans based on outreach strategies via multiple channels (e.g. Board Advisory services, BoardConnect forums, roadshows, events, etc.).
- Review and enhance current STAR Mentoring programme for Board/Senior Mgmt.
- Support team efforts to achieve set targets and outcomes.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Management & Organisation or Business Management / Accountancy preferred
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience at the Management level, of which at least 2 years of related experiences - Organisational and/or Leadership development background
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of Charity’s Code of Governance
- Ability to contribute at all levels and lead discussion on governance and leadership matters at the Board-level
- Ensuring professional advice is technically sound and relevant to client needs; high regard for confidentiality
- Adopts a logical, coherent, and consistent approach to problem solving; supports recommendations with facts and research
- Able to work effectively in complex environments that involve eternal value-conflicts and uncertainties
