**Roles & Responsibilities**
**Job Summary**
The Manager - Payroll Projects will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to develop the strategy and key objectives for the Payroll Operations team. The Manager - Payroll Projects will lead the team in creating best practices for payroll operations processes that will enable the organization to be more agile and provide bandwidth to support expansion into new countries and acquisitions of new businesses.
The Manager - Payroll Projects will be responsible for planning, developing, and ensuring timely delivery of the payroll operations team’s projects and will partner with Compensation and Benefits, and Human Resources on new initiatives and process improvement opportunities. The Manager - Payroll Projects will ensure the timely and accurate execution of the identified payroll projects and initiatives and implement necessary controls to ensure all deadlines are met and company policies and procedures are followed. They will manage escalated payroll issues and special projects assigned to the team and partner with payroll stakeholders and various internal departments.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Understand Payroll requirements and implement processes for new countries, ensure processes and systems are in-line with vendor requirements. Prepare country specific process flows and manuals.
- Manage the Global Payroll Project being implemented, ensure updated processes and systems are in-line with vendor requirements. Prepare updated country specific process flows and manuals.
- Review current processes, to ensure payments and accounting calculations are compliant with country regulations and clients expectations
- Review payroll processes to identify and implement improvements and updating of manuals
- Manage process for any system updates or changes which effect processes or reporting for payroll
- Relationship management with payroll vendors to ensure service requirements and being met, review and approve any out of scope works and ensure payroll vendor cost control
- Liaise with the HR and C&B teams on issues, policy changes, legal and regulatory requirements
- Act as strategic partner, who monitors and anticipates on changes that impact both the payroll and business needs and requirements.
- Graduate degree or equivalent in Business related studies
- At least 5 years work experience in a managerial payroll position, having gained a high level of functional knowledge, knowledge of international and industry standards
- At least 2 years work experience in Project Management
- Knowledge of multiple Asia Pacific countries Payroll and HR regulations.
- PeopleSoft experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence internal/external parties. Clear and effective communications skills. Team player with service-oriented attitude
- Strong analytical skills to understand evolving key business requirements
- Pro-active, well organized and flexible, Creative mindset applied to solve problems
