IFF is seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our Scent Technology & Innovation (ST&I) Singapore team as **Associate Scientist**.

**Your Focus**
As Associate Scientist you will be involved in running technical projects for the Body Care category. Your role includes internal creative support for fragrance/technology performance and stability.

The role would require you to thoroughly implement IFF fragrances and technology, investigate fragrance solutions that satisfy consumers’ needs in the Body Care category. Our ambition is to exceed our customer’s technical expectations when introducing new products and formulations, to ensure that IFF is seen as the most technically innovative Fragrance house.

In addition, you must have the ability to handle technical projects that are either Innovation, proactive or go to market (G2M). You will need to develop and build a continuous healthy and strong collaboration with Internal stakeholders.

**How you will contribute**
- Conduct laboratory work for G2M/proactive under the direction of more senior technical leaders.
- Contribute to technical project teams, providing data and lab support in the area of technical issues related to formulation, interactions of fragrances/technologies with the bases.
- Conduct experimentations using technologies related to fragrance performance improvement.
- Organize and prepare evaluation tests to assess fragrance performance using specific protocols.- Develop technical information to support project decision making and for use in customer presentations to highlight IFF product advantages.
- Write up all laboratory notes in a clear and concise way and report results to senior technical staff.
- Provide data for technical presentations and reports to be stored in IFF knowledge management.-
- Management of projects and specific tasks to ensure timely delivery or request.

**Job Requirements**:
**What you will need to be successful**
- Master’s or Bachelor Degree in Science & Technology, Chemistry or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the Consumer Goods or Ingredients Chemical industry.
- Technical projects management, Personal Wash/Hair Care technical formulation and development or fragrance industry experience
- Good knowledge of safety for technical laboratories.
- Olfactory ability.
- Comfortable working in a B2B environment with a positive, self-driven or results oriented attitude.
- Strong teamwork, customer orientation, project management, effective time management skills with proven ability to oversee all assigned projects and meeting deadlines
- Curious, knowledgably, creative mindset, someone who applies knowledge creatively and intelligently to the solution of problems
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Dynamic and proactive, interest on problem solving.
- Results driven and agile in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong data analysis capability for interpretation of results
