**The Role**:
**What’s the role?**

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure compliance to HSE standards and requirements to improve Shell Jurong Island as a safe place to work in.
- Perform Authorized Applicant as per SJI ePermit to Work (ePTW) requirement.
- Assist in the planning & costing of all instruments related maintenance activities.
- Execution of all instrument analysers (QMI) maintenance activities as assigned according to plan and schedule as provided by planner and scheduler. Provide update as and when required.
- Maintain high equipment reliability to support plant technical availability.
- Be conversant in analyzer equipment maintenance includes troubleshooting.
- Initiate and contribute to plant improvements.
- To ensure Shell Jurong Island (SJI)’s assets operate safely & reliably, without suffering any process safety incident or causing life-changing events to person(s), the staff is accountable to ensure compliance to those Critical Activities assigned for the Job Position.
- Support continuous improvement in the maintenance strategy, for example in the areas of preventive maintenance, equipment modification, cost, equipment criticality, spare parts management, and scheduled work.
- Monitoring the IQ equipment condition and if required, involve equipment specialist to address problems, concerns, and measures.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in compliance with the global maintenance and business processes.
- Ensure calibration checks are carried out according to standard procedure and within schedule.
- Identify bad actors and make improvement plans to minimize or eliminate bad actors. Participate in troubleshooting of major equipment and system problem and provide solutions to resolve these problems.
- Standby duty coverage.
- Carrying out any other related duties as required.

**What we need from you**

You’ll ideally have
- Skill to carry out maintenance on various QMIs (such as pH, conductivity, oxygen, GC, TOC, Silica, etc.) and associated sampling System.
- Past involvement in commissioning and start-up of QMI, and Gas Detection System will have added advantage.
- Experience in analytical instrumentation maintenance including AMADAS.
- Knowledge on instrumentation applied in the measuring methods, like level, flow, pressure and temperature.

Maintenance, Reliability and Turnarounds (MRTA) is about understanding and maintaining our equipment as effectively and efficiently as possible, making sure it performs as intended. The Maintenance discipline covers the development of Maintenance strategies and the planning, coordination, and execution of Maintenance activities. Maintenance ensures safe, defect free and efficient operations through the regular upkeep of equipment and tools in the most cost efficient and timely manner.

This role will be stationed in Singapore Merbau Site (SEPL).
