Senior Strategic Partnerships Officer will help support and grow our current funding partners and 2) support the cultivation of strong partnerships with new donors, especially in Asia.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Swiftly developing an in-depth understanding of the Tara programme as well as Tara’s funding

partnership landscape, the Senior Strategic Partnerships Officer will support the development and execution of a robust funder stewardship programme that integrates Tara’s funder reporting, renewal and donor communications cycles. In addition, the Senior Strategic Partnerships Officer will work with the rest of the Tara team to support the development of an ambitious strategy to cultivate and grow the number of Asian funders entering the climate philanthropy space.

The Senior Strategic Partnerships Officer will be responsible for the following:
1. Cultivate and grow the funding base:

- Work with senior management to support the development and execution of an ambitious funder stewardship plan to meet the needs and expectations of a diverse and committed group of funders
- Work with other colleagues at Tara to expand the number of high-value individual donors and philanthropic foundations that are supporting climate action in Asia, specifically in the Tara region

2. Proposal Development and Grant Reporting:

- Review and refine current funding proposals and grant reports, pulling input from other team members as needed.
- Identify and communicate risks or potential issues affecting the proposal development, define potential solutions and liaise with Tara's legal and operations.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals, progress reports, and any other deliverables.
- Support the management of funder relations and communications
- Organise and coordinate key funder meetings
- Connect and debrief the CEO and other senior program members regarding funding opportunities.
- With support from senior management, manage funder relations and ensure all commitments and deliverables are met promptly.
- Create presentations and other promotional materials for funders and other key stakeholders.
- Take the lead in writing our annual funders report with support from the Tara program team.

2. People Management & operational responsibilities, including:

- Provide direct supervision to the Strategic Partnerships Officer
- Mentor staff and oversee their professional development
- Demonstrate Tara's Values in every action

- As and when required, other responsibilities and projects will be allocated by line management in consultation with the post holder.

**Person specification**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism in working with multiple stakeholders from diverse nationalities and backgrounds
- Experience working on energy and climate change issues is not a must, but there must be a genuine interest in the issue and the ability to learn quickly.
- Superb verbal and written skills in English and other Asian languages are an asset.
- Strong ability to consolidate information and data and present them in a concise and compelling manner
- Strong skills in managing and visualizing data and numbers;
- Strong presentation skills for communication with individual donors, senior executives of trusts, foundations, business and opinion leaders
- Proven track record of working in an environment that demands professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent project management and coordination skills
- Skilled in creating visually compelling PowerPoint presentations.
- Able to solve problems resourcefully, efficiently and independently with a proactive, “can-do” attitude to challenges and changes
- Used to working flexibly at a fast pace in remote settings with multicultural teams across multiple time zones
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally as and when required
- Embraces Tara’s mission and identifies with and is committed to living the Tara Values

- Advanced degree or relevant expertise in a relevant field, such as renewable energy, environmental management, business administration, economics, or sustainable development.
