**What you will be working on**
- Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will be part of the Family Development Group (FLG) / Family Data and Analytics Branch that works closely with divisions within the Ministry, partners, government agencies, Social Service Agencies and other organisations to plan, formulate and execute implementation strategies including Information and Communications Technology (ICT)/systems solutions to support existing and upcoming family programmes and initiatives.
This is aligned with the push for Digital Government, to future-proof our ICT systems so as to meet the data needs for family or family-based schemes across Whole-of-Government, as well as for data analysis to enable policy reviews impacting families.
As part of your job scope, you will be expected to lead and drive FLG data and digitalisation projects to address gap limitations for FLG databases and systems, which serve FLG, MSF and WOG needs. These include to:

- Work with relevant stakeholders on developing/enhancing ICT systems to support bulk data management and utilisation
- Work with the project team to understand, articulate requirements and bridge the gaps between business and IT, to support ongoing system design and development
- Review processes and identify new ways to measure and improve data quality, as well as implement data manipulation tools to deliver outcomes that meet WOG use cases and needs
- Manage digitalisation and data projects to ensure timely completion of deliverables and enhancements

**What we are looking for**
- To meet the challenges of this role, you should possess:

- Good degree in a related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, Business Management, Statistics or Mathematics
- At least 4-5 years of working experience in data related and/or IT systems related projects. You should also be familiar with:

- Common data management and manipulation tools such as R, Python or RPA to perform data profiling, cleansing and quality checks
- Conceptualising and implementing system enhancements which include adopting best practices on data models, data schemas and data lineage
- Reviewing and executing approaches to develop/enhance database architecture/design to overcome data gaps and support additional use cases or scalability.
- Team leader and team player who can engage with key stakeholders
- Highly motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to conceptualise quickly, multi-task and work under pressure
