**About the Department**:
Business Intelligence specializes in data architecture for reporting services, and design expertise in data warehouses, data marts, and business intelligence (BI) enterprise reporting. Identifies ways to increase the use of BI within the firm, designing end-to-end BI solutions that provide insights and information for key decision-makers. The Data Analytics & Management area is responsible for multiple aspects of data management and operations for the firm, including database administration and design, business intelligence and data architecture, data analytics, governance, and quality.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design analytical solutions/experiments to solve various strategic business problems through engagement and research
- Building and deploying Machine Learning Algorithms, Advanced Analytics, and Data Visualization across the UOB group and region
- Supporting the Enterprise Data Architecture and Governance Program in developing and transforming the Analytics Capabilities across the group
- Partnering with assigned teams and/or business units to provide deep expertise and advisory on advanced data analytics needs
- Strong knowledge of data and analytics architecture to ensure analytics objectives are aligned to business priorities on the Data Analytics Transformation Program
- Driving innovation initiatives under guidance and directives from Head of Enterprise AI & Data

**Job Requirements**:

- Min Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, with ability to reason quantitatively from first principles.
- Min 5 years of advanced data science working experience, preferably in banking / financial services / quant / consulting industry.
- Achieved consistently convincing success in framing quantitatively rigorous and data driven approaches to solve highly complex business problems
- Self motivated team player, able to ideate innovative solutions and work independently
- Highly skilled and experienced in Deep Learning, and in at least any one of following: Statistics, NLP, Time Series; experience in Generative AI (esp. LLM) a plus.
- Excellent Python programming and large data handling abilities. Highly skilled with common data science packages and SQL\Spark
- Experienced in end-to-end data science solution delivery and assorted tools
- Ability to communicate analytic findings clearly and convincingly to business
- Skillful in the practice of agile project management
- Experience with data visualization packages and/or tools a plus
