Castlery is seeking for a passionate and experienced **Category Product Manager** to join our **Category Product Management** team.
As a Category Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our product categories within Castlery. Reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and growth of a specific product category and you will actively contribute to the achievement of category expansion goals, optimizing product mix, and ensuring the successful delivery of market-leading products.
You will also support multiple cross-functional teams within Castlery to bridge the technical and emotional aspects of each product launch. This role is a dynamic combination of creativity and analytics that strives towards creating a productive and cohesive product assortment for our customers.
**What you'll be doing**
- You will take a strategic responsibility in growing our revenue and profit while building our assortment strategy based on customers' needs.
- You will lead and drive the product content strategy, vision, and roadmap in alignment with the overall category strategy set by the Senior Product Manager to drive the expansion of product category.
- You will lead the discussion and alignment with the category merchandising team to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- You will take lead in collaborating with product design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to bring products to market effectively.
- You will oversee the end-to-end product development process, ensuring products align with design visions, quality standards, and market demands.
- You will stay abreast of market trends, customer preferences, and industry innovations to contribute valuable insights to the overall category strategy.
- You will liaise with marketing and sales teams to optimize product mix and contribute to go-to-market strategies. Working collaboratively to create compelling product stories.
- You will lead and groom a category planning specialist, providing guidance and support in alignment with the Senior Product Manager's vision.
**What you'll need**
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising/ Product Management/ Product Design/ Business/ Economics or equivalent field; advanced degree or equivalent qualification is a plus.
- At least 5 years of product category management experience, preferably with a strong familiarity of the buying process as well. Proven success in launching and managing products within a competitive market.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, emerging trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with vendors.
- Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Pro-active, 'can do' mentality combined with a track record of successful execution of strategies and activities.
- Ability to work independently in a highly ambiguous, dynamic growth environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Leadership quality and the ability to mentor and develop a team.
