Airalo is looking for a talented and motivated
As
**Director of Legal** at Airalo, you will collaborate closely with the COO and different department VP/directors in the company. You will work on various legal topics from Contracts, Conflicts, and Regulatory Affairs, both well-known and novel, as our technological solutions require creative and proactive legal guidance. You will support a range of products and business areas within Airalo.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Advise on legislative, regulatory and compliance issues applicable to the business including, but not limited to, telecommunications, intellectual property, marketing, and privacy-related issues.
- Negotiate, draft, review and advise on a range of commercial agreements, particularly those related to our products, partnerships, marketing, data protection, and confidentiality.
- Draft and review all types of internal agreements, legal correspondence, employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Support and train team members and other stakeholders on relevant legislation, regulations, policies, compliance issues, case law, or best practices.
- Work with our external legal counsels as required (i.e., in particular, corporate/commercial law, securities, employment law, patents and trademarks, foreign tax regulations, etc.)
**Must-haves**:
- Qualified lawyer, ideally in an APAC, US, and/or UK jurisdiction with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in reputable law firms and/or in multinational corporations and/or start-up
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment/experience in communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams & balancing competing priorities and managing several time-sensitive projects at the same time
- Sound and practical business judgment and commercial acumen with experience reviewing and drafting commercial contracts
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, creative and pragmatic problem-solving skills, and business acumen
- Self-driven, optimistic, and keen to work as part of a professional and closely-knit team while highly organized with excellent time management skills
