ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (COMMUNICATIONS)
COMMUNICATIONS AND SERVICE EXCELLENCE DIVISION

**What you will be working on**
- You will report to the Senior Assistant Director (Communications) and be part of the Media and Strategic Communications team of the Judiciary.
You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and be expected to:

- develop and implement media communications plans and key messages to generate awareness of the Judiciary’s work and initiatives
- provide strategic communications advice for courts’ initiatives, programmes, events, and policies; analyse media reports and social media posts on matters related to the judiciary; where there are negative reviews which impact public trust and confidence in the Judiciary, to assess potential impact and recommend a suitable response
- anticipate and develop crisis communications plans for the courts
- coordinate the production of publicity materials and resources
- manage corporate events (e.g. Opening of the Legal Year, Mass Call, conferences, etc)

**What we are looking for**
- Requirements:

- Excellent command of the English language and experience with longform writing. Command of a second language will be an advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact well with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with the government procurement process and event planning will be an advantage
- Highly driven, adaptable, able to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Self-driven and can work independently as well as in a team
- Able to look at issues from an organisational and Whole-of-Government perspective
