DESIGNATION : Assistant Director (PG Programmes and Operations), LKCSB
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB).
- Report to Director, Postgraduate Programs and Operations (PGPO), to oversee and ensure the operation efficiency of the Postgraduate Doctorate programs team and Finance and Systems team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to both Director, PGPO and Deputy Dean (Programs); to achieve the vision, mission, and strategic goals for LKCSB and specific programs as assigned.
- Lead and manage a team of program staff to support all aspect of program management and achieve operational excellence in program delivery and positive student experience.
- Lead and manage a team of Finance and system staff to provide efficient and high-quality services to support the day-to-day financial operation and system requirements to ensure the success of all programs.
- Through leadership, guidance, and compassion, build and maintain a cohesive and result oriented team, whose key focus are continuous improvement and execution excellence.
- Work with Director, along with Associate Deans, Academic Directors, and central administration teams, to formulate and implement initiatives, workplans in alignment with SMU strategies and priorities.
- Support and maintain a strong, positive, and collaborative working relationship with partner Universities.
- Develop a sustainable alumni network in collaboration with partner Universities and Office of Alumni Relations.
- Enhance teamwork and collaboration across the unites within PGPO as well as with faculties and central units for effective responsiveness and synergies. Build and develop relationships and act as liaison with senior management, staff, and key stakeholders.
- Respond quickly and effectively to change and take on additional roles and responsibilities as required by the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree holder with 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience.
- Prior experience relevant to this position or acquired in an educational setting will be advantageous.
- Preferably with postgraduate qualifications.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Analytical and meticulous with an eye for details.
- A good team player, independent and initiated.
- Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Decisive, with ability to work well under pressure.
- IT savvy and proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
- Ability to speak and write in Chinese & English.
