**Responsibilities**
Reporting into the Director of Commercial Strategy and Oceanbolt Sales, this is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager who has the passion, drive, and experience in the high value data intelligence product segment.
In 2021 Veson Nautical acquired the market leading bulk commodity and ocean freight data platform - Oceanbolt. This role is a key strategic role that will be instrumental in taking the Oceanbolt data intelligence product to a global market. You will be calling on VP- and C-Level stakeholders in some of the largest commodity, shipping, and financial companies in the world; This role will drive revenue through new client acquisition, from first meeting to final contract negotiations and closing deals as required for a high value data intelligence product sales cycle.
**Qualifications**
- >6 years’ Experience in Sales selling solutions in the, Commodities, Shipping, Energy and/or selling B2B SaaS data solution products. Experience of negotiating and working closely with C-level client stakeholders
- Fluent written and verbal English and Japanese language skills with additional languages welcome
- Proven consistent sales success across key global markets for commodities trading
- Exposure to the commodity, dry bulk shipping or energy markets would be a strong plus
- Able to thoughtfully and diligently execute a sales process and territory plan
- Demonstrated high rapport building and consultative sales skills
- Track record of success in hitting a quota number and increased scope of influence and capability
- Proven ability to aggressively prospect new opportunities from lead generation to close
- Highly effective communication skills with the ability to liaise, engage and build relationships with key stakeholders up to senior management/executive level
- Strong proficiency and sales experience in computer software and tools
- Proven ability to proactively address client concerns and exceed client needs
- A track record of understanding and managing SaaS revenue budgets and targets
- Outstanding consulting, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills
- Experience with business process analysis and business requirements gathering and documentation
- Refined interdepartmental collaboration skills with clear and open communication and a strong regional cultural awareness
- Ability to Identify obstacles to success and to create a pathway to overcome those obstacles
- Majority of time will be office based, with a possibility of working from home 2 to 3 days a week. Willingness to travel approximately up to 10% of the time (as needed)
- Demonstrated planning and organizing skills
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
