We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Vice President, Wealth and Private Banking Operations.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- To take charge of end-to-end Wealth and Private Banking processes covering various products ie. Unit Trust, Dual Currency Deposit, Local & International Bonds, IPO Bonds, Structured Products, Equities and Alterative funds etc.
- Ensure that daily activities pertaining to the operations of the customer accounts and GL/Suspense accounts are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner
- Ensure Financials and objectives are within the FRP set including overall operational efficiency within set targets
- maximization of process efficiency and effectiveness in the team via simplification & streamlining of processes
- Initiate continuous improvements across all key areas of operations management, people, processes and systems
- Ensure Service level agreements are consistently met and customer service delivery is of high standard continuously
- To deliver high standard of customer service delivery and ensure that feedbacks, complaints and enquiries from internal customers are promptly handled
- Review and validate all the end of day reports from offshore teams
- Prepare, review and ensure accuracy in daily, monthly and management reporting
- Perform quality assurance checks on all outsourced activities
- To improve our processes based on customer’s feedback
- Lead, execute, support and roll out projects and system enhancements related to processes within stipulated timelines that are initiated by global, regional and business partners
- Review and ensure robust controls and compliances are in place
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, guidelines, audit recommendations and procedures/procedural guidelines are adhered to
- Manage operational risk associated with the role and take action to minimize the likelihood of operational risk occurring, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Ensure satisfactory audits, losses and complaints contained
- Conducting periodic and surprise audit checks, directing staff on rectification and corrective action and monitoring of audit compliance
- Ensure Desk Instruction Manuals are promptly reviewed and updated
- Manage operational risk associated with the role and take action to minimize the likelihood of operational risk occurring, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Ensure Desk Instruction Manuals are promptly reviewed and updated
Requirements
- A minimum degree in Business/Finance with 5-10 years combined experience in Wealth and Private Banking operations
- Significant Wealth and Private Banking Operations experience and track record of working in partnership with senior management, Business partners and other colleagues in an intellectually demanding environment
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment and work under pressure with demanding timescales
- Proven strong project management related to Wealth and Private Banking operations
- Demonstrable track record in process management and improvement, delivering significant cost reduction through streamlining processes
- Experience of effectively managing offshore teams and service providers
- Leadership skills, enthusiasm, energy, edge, passion and drive
- Excellent analytical mind and conceptual skills
- Expert influencing and coaching skills in an environment where offshore team engagement is paramount
- Proven track record of process and operational management in operations environment
- Solid business acumen, commercial awareness and depth of thinking
- Excellent management planning ability with excellent eye for detail
- Highly motivated with proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and to deliver on time
- Cognizant on MAS & SFA related regulations is preferred
- An effective team p
