Leading and/or influencing cross-functional agile teams to translate business goals and customer needs into best-practice, user-focused digital solutions. Reporting into the Digital Lead, you will work closely with marketers, business product owners, designers, developers and other technology specialists to deliver digital projects, optimize digital assets and provide insights to business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define the product and service vision and requirements based on customer needs and business objectives.
- Partner with business stakeholders and agile scrum teams to define business needs and priorities for the digital product roadmap.
- Use various sources of insight metrics available (NPS / channel analytics / dashboards) to make informed decisions about product changes / direction.
- Recommend appropriate technology and functionality, and define the minimum viable product in conjunction with relevant business stakeholders for product launch and successive iterations.
- Support the evolvement of the agile working model, with a focus on continual improvements to drive efficiency and quality, by tracking and reporting on the key measures of efficiency / quality across all work streams, providing recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
- Develop and manage all digital development implementation plans including the supporting calendar of activity post launch, resource capacity and capability planning / budget management. Ensure the successful transition of projects and initiatives to into BAU.
- Adopt QBE values in personal work behaviors, decision-making, contributions and interpersonal interactions.
- Work with design, innovation, UX, marketing, segments, customer experience and digital solutions to Identify customer personas and segments, Validate MVP and product scope, Ensure effective agile planning, with focus around experience (UI/UX) deliverables.
- Deepen knowledge of customer needs, motivations and behaviors to influence experiences that contribute to a rewarding customer experience.
- Build strong working relationships across the Digital and Innovation teams (Group & AusPac), Business Marketing teams, IT and wider businesses
- Lead agile delivery teams as product owner to Define strategic outcomes, Own the product roadmap, Prioritize product backlog items for value, Contribute to user story writing, Lead & manage agile team members to drive outcomes and performance, Coach & support agile teams to ensure understanding of the content of the product backlog, Plan for sprints in conjunction with the agile delivery team, Collaborate with technical developers to understand technical implications and contribute to decisions regarding technical solutions, Sign off features / functions moving into production to ensure accurate delivery, without compromise on quality.
- Identify and communicate impacts from initiative scope and requirements against specific digital assets and ensure communication to the relevant asset owner/s.
- Communicate progress to stakeholders through Showcases, Stand up’s, Visual Board management, Reports such as; burn downs / ups, epic burn, velocity.
- Providing effective communication to business and technical audiences.
- Demonstration of strong teamwork and collaboration across all functions.
- Provide leadership and mentoring as required for the product owner community
Required Experience
- 5 years relevent experience

Preferred Education Specifics
- Bachelors Degree in relevant field.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 5 years plus in the development, implementation and management of Digital technologies and functionalities
- Experience working under agile practices, with a particular focus on the scrum framework
- Demonstrated experience in driving, developing and implementing digital initiatives to support the development and implementation of Digital assets
- Proven experience creating business plans
- Experience in the Australian financial services industry, especially insurance, would be beneficial.
