Global Senior Manager

**Job Purpose**:
The Global Senior Manager - Trade & Integrated Supply Chain Engineering DP World/Unifeeder will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the group’s assets on an end-to-end basis, identifying the advantages of integrating all our pillars (Logistics, Marine, and Port & Terminals), with a strong focus on shipping solutions. The primary focus will be on managing all aspects of the distribution channels between DPWL (Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics) and Marine (Unifeeder), as well as DPW P&T, ensuring the deployment of market-relevant, efficient, and cost-effective end-to-end customer solutions. You will collaborate closely with various departments and stakeholders to drive growth, cross-functional collaboration, and maintain high-quality products and services within the broader DPW organisation. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of network design and solutioning across DPWL, Marine, and P&T, including profitability and performance. Additionally, this role is part of the Supply Chain Engineering Group of DP World.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Strategy Management: Define the value proposition between the different business units of DP World Marine, Ports & Terminals, and DP World Logistics. Collaborate closely with the commercial KAM teams.Growth: Define and drive trade strategies and growth for trade lanes. Align sales support structures to support new trade projects.
- Rules and Guidelines: Align on the rules of engagement and customer segmentation with Unifeeder. Ensure budgeted FCL business development in the assigned trades by setting and agreeing on appropriate goals with Unifeeder and DP World.
- Concepts and Business Plans: Deploy proofs of concept for collaborative projects (e.g. India-Middle East, India-Africa, Middle East-Africa).
- Market Evaluation: Map the market and assess the viability of market entry, considering Unifeeder/Unifeeder NVOCC and DP World Freight Forwarding.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Agree on forecasting and secure equipment, space, etc. Define operational performance KPIs with DP World Marine.
- Synergies: Enhance port ocean network synergies and joint VSA with SL/Unifeeder. Secure below-market slot costs and ensure equipment supply on high-priority trades (e.g. Unifeeder/MSC/CMS VSA into/out of Port of Dar es Salaam with landside solutions into Kigali).
- Rates, Terms and Conditions: Negotiate rates, free times, credit terms, etc., and conclude service contracts and agreements in line with DP World Freight Forwarding strategy.
- Collaboration: Maintain close relationships with Ocean Procurement and Trade Management to ensure consistent standards across DP World regions and Unifeeder.
- Product Development: Define and develop products in collaboration with DP World regions and business units.
- Projects: Moderate and steer identified projects between DP World and Unifeeder, participating in steering committees to monitor performance (operational and financial).

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years in the Liner Shipping industry, with a focus on trade management, network design, and solutions, holding senior leadership roles.
- Skills:

- Proven success in trade management, with exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills at P&L level.
- Experience managing complex logistics operations across multiple regions, with strong knowledge of carrier pricing and capacity management.Familiarity with customs regulations, import/export procedures, and relevant industry standards.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead a team of professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across dynamic, multi-cultural teams, with a strong focus on organisation and detail orientation.
- Results-oriented with a proactive approach to handling competing priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company data at all times.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
