**POSITION OVERVIEW**
Technical Pre-Sales Manager works with Business Development Managers to formulate account plans for prospective customers. They act as the technical authority by delivering technical solutions in the form of demo and/or technical proposals to customers. To be successful in the role, Technical Presales will collaborate regularly with internal product, technology teams and the customers to develop deep technical relationships and solution understanding.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leads in establishing technical strategy for identified customers and prospects
- Manages all technical engagements and generate technical documentations to support bid responses (e.g. RFI, RFP)
- Conducts regular industry and product training to the sales team with the goal to better equip them in engaging prospective customers
- Ensures technical solutions fit customers’ requirements and budget
- Joint development of account plans with business development managers/directors
- Adheres to bid process to ensure technical sign off is followed with during presales.
- Proactively identify a technical solution to address customers’ or prospects’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value.
- Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
- Secures customer and prospects’ technical staff commitments to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
- Conducts technical or product centric presentations of OneConnect products to prospective customers
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Relevant College degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of technical sales engineer in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment such as system integrator, Fintech and Insurtech providers; or
- Working knowledge on Financial or Insurance technology products
- Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required
- Strong collaboration and ability to collaborate as part of a cross functional team
- Able to travel either in country or overseas for short business trip
- Experience with SaaS product is a plus
