Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Organizes and leads the Technology Support Services team, Business Applications team and IT Infrastructure team including, but not limited to digital platform support, end-users support, ERP system support as well as IT Infrastructure - hardware platforms, productivity tools, service coordination, network security, problem resolution, desktop computing, and access management and help desk support.
- Drives critical and strategic infrastructure solutions and programs across the organization.
- Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures and ensure departmental accountability for performance.
- Lead the development, retention, and organization of the IT team
- Optimally influences and openly communicates with senior leadership and business partner leadership.
- Consults, counsels and reviews hardware and software needs of Cengage Asia to ensure systematic, uniform development of information systems activities.
- Recognizes opportunities for new solutions and influences or advises the development of those solutions.
- Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure alignment and achievement of business objectives.
- Drive IT innovation to ensure success in simplification and navigation of products. Understand the current and future capabilities of IT products via industry research, vendor roadmap analysis, etc.
- Develop and maintain a broad range of internal and external business relationships to ensure delivery of IT services that meet customer needs.
- Develop, lead, and negotiate both vendor and business relevant service levels agreements and deliver to them.
- Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations.
- Champion global ERP system
