- Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote the relationship between the Club and its Members by providing high quality claims handling service and advice in accordance with the Club Rules and procedures2. Provide wider claims-related support and, where necessary, working together with the underwriting team and loss prevention team to do so3. Attend appropriate training and develop knowledge and skills relevant for P&I claims handling4. Carry out any other ad hoc duties as necessary to fulfil duties / role as a claims handler**Job Requirement**
- Requirements:
- Degree in law or maritime studies (or similar) preferred, with ideally at least 2 years’ experience handling marine claims / disputes. FD&D experience will be an advantage
- Non-law degree holders with relevant work experience in the maritime or marine insurance industry are welcome
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Strong analytical thinking
- Problem-solving attitude
- Good attention to detail
- Motivated individual who takes initiative and is proactive
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
