The College of Engineering (CoE) at NTU is a leader in engineering education and research, with five internationally-renowned schools. Each school specializes in a different field of engineering and consistently ranks among the top universities globally.

The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Director, Undergraduate Students to support the pursuit of academic excellence at CoE. The successful candidate will work closely with the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Students to foster a dynamic academic and cultural ecosystem for undergraduate students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Students, in implementing policies and managing undergraduate programs aimed at academic and cultural excellence within CoE.
  • Conduct horizon scanning of global higher education landscapes to understand trends, challenges, and opportunities in undergraduate education and recruitment.
  • Design and implement innovative strategies for undergraduate student outreach and recruitment, targeting diverse and talented student prospects locally and globally.
  • Collaborate with overseas institutions and universities to enhance visibility of CoE's undergraduate programmes and to broaden student exchange opportunities.
  • Serve as the central Point of Contact (POC) for undergraduate student matters, maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, including prospective students and current students.
  • Work with Schools and the University's Office of Admissions to coordinate and refine undergraduate admissions processes, ensuring alignment with CoE's strategic goals.
  • Develop and oversee programmes and initiatives to enrich the academic, social, and cultural experience for undergraduate students, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Support the development and coordination of undergraduate programmes, including dual-degree offerings, interdisciplinary initiatives, and undergraduate research opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master of Science's, or Doctorate degree from a recognized university, preferably in Science, Technology, or Engineering.
  • Experience in an institution of higher education will be advantageous.
  • Ability to manage and work with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skill.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Resourceful team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven and independent worker who takes initiative.
