Works under the supervision of the chef de cuisine and company director.
Cooking responsibilities include preparing North Indian Curry Dishes and Tandoori food.
Supports the head chef in supervising the kitchen and performs inventory and supply ordering duties.
Assists in kitchen preparation, including mixing, chopping, grinding batter, dough making, and cooking skills like tossing, frying, and steaming.
Maintains the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of kitchen appliances, equipment, food storage areas, and the kitchen itself.
Procures and verifies the quality and quantity of food and kitchen supplies, estimating the amount and kind of food needed for daily activities and functions.
Requirements
Must understand Indian Vegetarian cooking and ingredients, including dishes like Dosai, Idli, Vadai, Briyani, Naan, and tandoori dishes.
Should be able to cook prata and dough and work in a fast-paced environment, particularly during high demand periods.
Must be a team player, willing to help out wherever necessary in the kitchen, including covering for absent team members.
Responsible for keeping live cooking areas clean and tidy.
Works in a hot environment.
