Our client, an expert in its field is seeking a dynamic Supplier Development Manager to be part of their team. The role involves driving supply chain excellence by forging strategic suplier partnerships, delivering market insights, and accelerating sales growth in the global electronics components sector.
Responsibilities
Supplier Strategy & Collaboration
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers (e.g., franchise distributors).
Negotiate competitive pricing, parts access, and industry insights.
Advise on supplier capabilities, risks, and performance improvements.
Market & Competitive Insights
Analyse trends, pricing, and availability to guide sourcing/sales strategies.
Serve as the global expert for assigned manufacturers.
Produce weekly/monthly market reports to inform business decisions.
Identify and deliver daily/weekly sales opportunities with favorable terms.
Advise on customer pricing strategies and drive quarterly revenue growth.
Collaborate with Sales/Sourcing to optimize deal execution.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Global Commodity Management and Sales teams to align supplier and business goals.
Train internal teams on market dynamics and supplier opportunities.
Requirements
At least 8 to 15 years experience in electronics components industry (semiconductors/board-level ICs focus).
Track record of relationships with suppliers and franchise distributors.
Mandarin fluency is essential for daily communication with customer and suppliers in China.
In-depth knowledge of parts and manufacturers and other board level ICs and semiconductors.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to synthesize market information into actionable strategies, market reports, and internal training materials.
