The Regional Policy Team is part of the global Business Integrity team who ensures TikTok users have a safe experience while viewing advertisements.
This position will help create TikTok's advertising policies in addition to developing policy processes and training. This individual will work in conjunction with teams like moderation, quality, and vendor operations to make sure these ad policies are executed properly. Our ideal candidate has experience performing deep analysis into potential risk areas and is able to navigate ambiguity.
Responsibilities:
Conduct high-impact quantitative policy, market, and quality analysis to support rapid policy development and enforcement.
Serve as key insights partner to both regional and global stakeholders, ensuring data-supported input into policy development and enforcement strategies.
Provide expert advice and data support on policy matters for human/machine enforceable guidance.
Design KPIs to evaluate policy and enforcement outcome effectiveness.
Act as a strategic liaison between policy and risk control teams to align on frameworks, compliance controls, and risk metrics.
Centralize insights-collection efforts across markets and functions within the policy team, to ensure quality and consistent policy decision-making.
Monitor and report on policy trends and regulatory changes.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community organizations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Data Science, or related field. We also welcome candidates from Public Policy, Law, or Political Science backgrounds who bring strong analytical skills and passion for data-informed decision making.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in advertising policy, or experience in a field adjacent to or within an advertising policy ecosystem. This includes prior experience in Advertising Policy or Business Integrity; experience in consumer protection related to digital marketing or media; as well as experience in data-privacy in the advertising technology sector.
A strong understanding of data and content moderation workflows (both human- and machine-based), including prior experience at a social media company and previous engagement in tasks related to social media content moderation.
Understanding of the dynamics among users, advertisers, and advertising policies, including prior experience in assisting advertisers to resolve advertising policy issues on a social media platform.
Proficiency in English for business purposes
Extremely clear written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred.
Deep understanding of the digital landscape and a passion for TikTok products.
