Workplace Safety and Health Professional

The Workplace Safety and Health Officer is a pivotal role that ensures the well-being of personnel in various workplaces. This position demands a deep understanding of occupational health and safety principles, coupled with exceptional leadership skills to implement effective health management programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines for implementation across all sites.
  • Conduct regular site audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhanced health and safety practices.
  • Provide training and awareness programs for site personnel to promote health and safety best practices.
  • Collaborate with government agencies to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Investigate accidents and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure the Occupational Health and Safety Management Program is effectively implemented and maintained.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a senior role.
  • Valid registration with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certificates in Design for Safety Appreciation, Environmental Control Officer, Risk Management Implementation Plan, WSQ Manage Workplace Safety and Health, WSQ Manage Work At Height.
  • Proven track record of managing HDB projects successfully.
