You will perform the work of Usher with the University Cultural Centre. Your duties will include: - Perform essential ushering duties such as greeting, directing, and seating patrons. Checking tickets or other modes of admission, checking the auditorium areas before and after events, and miscellaneous light duties. Enforce house rules and address situations in a professional manner. Act on all feedback in a prompt and appropriate manner. Ensure the safety of patrons by flagging any dangerous or unsafe practice that could pose as a hazard. Qualifications - Able to communicate fluently in English. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with limited lighting, loud music, steep stairs. Able to climb stairs and stand throughout an event – approx. 3 – 4 hours at a time.
