As a Vendor Manager, you will be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon; possess strong negotiation and analytical skills, together with proven commercial knowledge and experience. The ability to effectively prioritize and multi‐task is a must, together with excellent project management skills and laser sharp attention to detail. The Vendor Manager must also be an effective communicator, working with some of Amazon's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and cross‐functional leaders. The ideal candidate will be a self‐starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment. This is a 12‐month fixed‐term contract role with Amazon. Key Job Responsibilities Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to earn trust and influence as well as to hold stakeholders, often more senior than you, accountable for high standards Learning‐based problem‐solving: breaking down issues into work streams, working backwards from key deadlines Advanced project management skills, with a strong sense of accountability for outcomes Enjoyment of analytical tasks – working to create different scenarios based on alternative solutions Comfort managing a wide variety of projects and stakeholders in a fast‐paced and ambiguous business environment Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and operate with limited guidance Strong commercial and people judgment Analytical ability to think both strategically and tactically Basic Qualifications 4+ years of experience with Excel 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership Preferred Qualifications Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
