CBRE | Talent Acquisition | Facilities Management | Project Management - We're Hiring About the Role: As a CBRE Head of Projects, you'll manage a team responsible for providing advanced management services to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. Purpose of the role: Lead teams in the safe delivery of projects. Generate a sales pipeline to deliver revenue to the business unit. Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins specified. Ensure all projects adhere to commercial agreements, statutory regulations, QHSE compliance and industry standards. What You'll Do: General Activities Ensure the safe delivery of projects through risk and competence management. Recruit and retain talent for present delivery and future growth. Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities. Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects. Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts. Complete projects on time and on budget, satisfying all parties. Identify, reduce & manage all risks (technical, statutory, health & safety, commercial). Maximise profit through cost reductions and efficient subcontractor sourcing. Identify and win projects through effective relationships. Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad‑hoc reporting. Promote and maintain the core values of CBRE. Business Development Plan and develop long‑term opportunities by creating a pipeline of prospects. Develop and manage all bids, tenders and proposals. Generate and secure new sales to exceed the annual financial plan. Seek opportunities to deliver projects through innovation and new technologies. Lead the sales process through solutions development, presentations and consultation meetings. Building Relationships Develop effective relationships with current and potential customers through demonstration of delivery capability. Build strong relationships with supply partners to bring innovation to customers. Ensure effective solutions meet quality expectations. Work with operational managers to collaboratively develop the projects business. Compliance Ensure team complies with project management policies and procedures. Enforce health & safety policy across all activities, audit and review performance. Conduct monthly & ad‑hoc project review meetings covering Health & Safety / CDM legislation. Engage with supply partners to appropriately apportion risk. Financial Management Develop project financial plans. Financial responsibility for the annual projects plan. Manage the monthly P&L and ensure all costs are accountable and recoverable. Produce monthly & ad‑hoc financial reports. Leverage margins by reducing project costs with subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure positive cash flow and control debt below 60 days. Chair monthly project reviews with business leaders. People Management Recruit, train, appraise and manage a high‑performance project delivery team. Maintain a continual people plan. Ensure project managers are fully trained to deliver to CBRE standards. Conduct performance reviews and create development plans. Recruit and select all project staff and manage discipline and grievance issues. What You'll Need: Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 10-12 years of relevant experience in M&E, FM, construction or critical environment, including 5+ years leading a team; equivalent experience & education accepted. PMP certification is an added advantage. Proven experience running a P&L. Experience creating, presenting and managing bids, tenders and proposals. Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance measurement and retention. Ability to lead sensitive, complex information exchanges and handle problems. Leadership skills to motivate teams towards operational targets. In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). An advanced inquisitive mindset.
