What you'll do:
As Vice President Sales, you will take ownership of driving commercial success by developing robust go-to-market strategies tailored for diverse industries across the region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships. By establishing strategic alliances with influential partners/vendors, you will unlock new revenue streams while ensuring seamless delivery of innovative solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels will enable you to navigate complex negotiations confidently. Ultimately, your leadership will empower organisations throughout Asia-Pacific to harness real-time data-driven insights that transform their operations for greater efficiency, safety, productivity, and sustainability.
Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies that accelerate sales growth and expand market share throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with local, regional, and global partners/vendors to maximise joint sales potential through best practices, training initiatives, and ongoing support.
Engage directly in prospecting, qualifying leads, managing key accounts, negotiating contracts, and closing high-value deals with enterprise clients.
Serve as the executive leader for all regional operations, building strong teams across sales, pre-sales, technical support, and marketing functions.
Provide clear direction, motivation, and mentorship to both internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
Deliver regular reporting on pipeline status, forecasting activities, customer engagement metrics, and partner performance to regional leadership.
Work hand-in-hand with partners on joint marketing campaigns and co-ordinated sales efforts that amplify brand presence and solution adoption.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive products and industry trends to inform strategy adjustments and maintain a leading edge in the marketplace.
Participate actively in industry events such as product seminars, trade shows, and team-building activities to enhance visibility and foster new business opportunities.
What you bring:
To excel as Vice President, Sales, you will bring an impressive track record built over decades of delivering outstanding results within enterprise software sales.
Over 20 years' proven experience in software sales within the Asia-Pacific region with a consistent record of exceeding targets through collaborative approaches.
Experience thriving within startup or new-market-entry environments, where adaptability and independence are critical to success.
Extensive management background overseeing multi-disciplinary teams in high-growth environments where nurturing talent is paramount.
Deep understanding of enterprise software markets combined with established personal relationships among C-level executives at leading organisations across various sectors.
Demonstrated expertise in both direct sales execution and strategic partnership development-enabling successful joint ventures that deliver measurable results.
Comprehensive knowledge of regional market dynamics including regulatory frameworks affecting industries such as healthcare, public safety (smart cities/buildings), defence (military), energy production/distribution or manufacturing processes.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field coupled with ongoing commitment to professional learning.
Proven ability to function as a "player-coach," leading by example while actively contributing to operational tasks.
A positive attitude characterised by enthusiasm for new challenges; willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' when needed; dedication towards achieving collective goals even under pressure.
