General Manager, Sales (Biotechnology Innovations & Partnerships) Title: General Manager, Sales (Biotechnology Innovations & Partnerships) About the Role Our client is a fast‑growing enterprise dedicated to future‑proofing the nation’s healthcare capabilities. They are looking to hire a highly driven General Manager of Sales, who will be responsible for building and expanding the commercial team to drive customer acquisition, and strategically positioning the organization as a trusted partner for integrated laboratory services and solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed annual revenue and profitability goals. Identify new market opportunities, key customers, and strategic partnerships to expand our footprint in the laboratory facilities and services sector. Lead the entire sales cycle for major accounts, from initial opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and closing. Drive the adoption of best‑in‑class sales processes, CRM utilization, and forecasting methodologies. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and biotech/biopharma networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market analysis to the executive team. Analyze sales data and market trends to adjust sales strategies quickly and effectively. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably with past experience of building up a sales team from scratch. Proven sales track record in selling to key segments including life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic/research sectors or government administrations. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; an MBA or PhD would be a plus. Exceptional executive‑level communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
