Overview Handling in-house legal and compliance recruitment for Asia. The Company Our client is a leading Asia HQ real asset manager with a diversified portfolio spanning logistics, data centres, and other key sectors. Following its recent privatization, the Group remains closely involved with its listed REITs and fund management entities. With a strong regional presence, the company is committed to best-in-class governance, sustainability, and compliance practices across its operations. This is an individual contributor role within a compliance team of 5–7 people, reporting directly to the Associate Director, Compliance. Responsibilities Local regulatory compliance (MAS / licensed entities)Maintain ongoing oversight of the Group’s adherence to MAS rules, notices and guidance applicable to the business. Track regulatory changes and interpret their operational impact for relevant business units. Prepare and lodge regulatory filings and notifications (including periodic compliance returns, surveys, licensed representative submissions and director change notifications). Support the preparation and review of governance materials such as Corporate Governance Reports, board evaluation questionnaires and independence confirmations. Draft and revise internal procedures and policies to reflect regulatory obligations and control expectations. Conduct compliance checks and risk assessments, identify control gaps and drive remediation plans. Act as a point of contact for MAS engagement and coordinate with external auditors or consultants on regulatory reviews. Group-wide compliance coordination Help coordinate compliance activities across subsidiaries and business lines to ensure consistent implementation of policies and standards. Contribute to the design and roll-out of group compliance frameworks, monitoring programs and control testing. Assist with compliance-related due diligence and integration when supporting new initiatives or transactions. Requirements Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. At least 8 years’ relevant experience across one or more of: compliance, regulatory, legal or corporate secretariat roles. Demonstrable familiarity with funds, REIT structures and MAS requirements for CMS-licensed entities. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for Greater China market coverage. Highly organised, able to work independently, and comfortable managing competing deadlines. A collaborative mindset with a willingness to lead and support governance and compliance projects across the Group.
