Job Title: Architectural Associate

Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Architectural Associate to join our team. As an Architectural Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of architectural projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients and other professionals to agree on project briefs;
  • Develop project briefs and work on them throughout the project;
  • Prepare planning applications and regulatory procedures;
  • Design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods;
  • Assist in detailed design and coordinate design information;
  • Update tender documentation and construction drawings;
  • Liaise with authorities for statutory approval;
  • Attend site visits and record minutes/discussions;
  • Coordinate site issues with the project architect;
  • Analyse specifications for suitable materials or processes;
  • Understand how design aspects influence performance and functional issues;
  • Follow up with detailed design and coordinate design information;
  • Liaise with consultants on the project team;
  • Advising clients on procurement contracts;
  • Lead preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings;
  • Administer contracts and project certifications;
  • Obtain client feedback on work in progress and finished results;
  • Maintain project progress within agreed timescales;
  • Solve problems during building/construction stage;
  • Carry out defect inspections.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years experience in architectural industry in Singapore or Malaysia;
  • Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment;
  • Familiarity with building regulations (Singapore or Malaysia);
  • Strong portfolio;
  • Good working attitude, proactive and conscientious.
