Clinical Mental Health Specialist

The Clinical Mental Health Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions to children and adolescents within educational settings. Their primary objective is to enhance the mental well-being of students, formulating and implementing care management plans in collaboration with community partners and Allied Educators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining a robust mental health network for children and adolescents in the community
  • Conducting cognitive and academic assessments to inform intervention strategies
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support services

Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Educational Psychology from a reputable institution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with professionals from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication, with preference given to those proficient in a second language
  • Well-developed clinical assessment and formulation skills
  • Experience in conducting cognitive and academic assessments (desired)
  • Eligibility for registration, licensure, or certification with a recognized psychological professional body
