Regulatory Compliance Lead Contract/Permanent: Contract Start Date: ASAP Employment type: Contract Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Job function: Quality Assurance and Legal Industries: Oil and Gas Open to all locals and expats Experienced Regulatory Compliance Lead to manage and oversee all regulatory and compliance-related activities for a major offshore development project. This role is critical in ensuring that all phases, from engineering and construction to operations, adhere to both local and international regulatory standards, with a particular focus on floating production systems. Job Responsibilities Develop and lead the regulatory compliance strategy throughout the project lifecycle. Serve as the primary liaison with classification societies and local regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance. Review and validate engineering documentation to ensure alignment with relevant codes, standards, and legal requirements. Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and assess impact on project execution. Coordinate and support audits, inspections, and certification processes. Advise cross-functional teams including engineering, HSE, and commissioning on regulatory compliance matters. Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting systems to demonstrate regulatory adherence. Contribute to risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for regulatory-related risks. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous. 8-10 years of experience in regulatory compliance within oil and gas projects. Demonstrated experience with FPU or FPSO developments, preferably in international settings. In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including DNV, ABS, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and regional offshore frameworks. Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. Strong communication, negotiation, and technical documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior engagement with regulatory bodies in emerging offshore markets. Understanding of compliance requirements for high-pressure systems and subsea production facilities.
