Job Title: Construction Cost Manager

Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Construction Cost Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Progress Claims and Variations: Evaluate and certify progress claims, variations, and final accounts for contractors and suppliers in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Cost Analysis and Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering to optimize project delivery and minimize potential risks.
  • Compliance and Dispute Management: Ensure compliance with contractual terms and manage disputes effectively to maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Communication and Liaison: Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide accurate cost advice and updates.

Tender QS Responsibilities:

  • Tender Document Review and Submission: Review tender documents and prepare competitive tender submissions, including Bills of Quantities (BOQ), to maximize project profitability.
  • Cost Estimation and Quotations: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and schedules to develop cost estimates and source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Tender Compliance and Alignment: Collaborate with the business development and project teams to ensure tender compliance and alignment to meet client requirements.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate tender risks to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Min. 2-3 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and tender procedures; Proficiency in QS software and Microsoft Office.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
