Job Title: Senior Construction Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Cost Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

About the Role:

  • Lead the development of cost plans, estimates, and budgets for construction projects;
  • Manage and control project expenditure to ensure it stays within approved limits;
  • Prepare and manage procurement strategies and tenders for construction services;
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure effective project delivery;
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement;

Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on scope, drawings, and specifications provided; Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and cost plans to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting; Conduct cost analysis and provide value engineering solutions to optimize costs without compromising quality;
  • Tendering and Procurement: Prepare tender documents, including BoQs, specifications, and contract terms; Assist in evaluating tenders and recommending the most cost-effective solutions for procurement; Negotiate contract terms and conditions with contractors and suppliers;
  • Project Management: Manage purchase orders of materials and verify site requests to align with project requirements and timelines; Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors; Coordinate closely with subcontractors on progress of work in line with project timeline and requirements;
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and following up monthly progress claims in a timely manner; Evaluating progress payments and variation orders (Vos); Ensure timely and accurate billing and payment processing in line with project progress;

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction cost management;
  • Degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or related field;
  • Proficient in MS Office and construction software such as Procore or Autodesk;
  • Excellent communication and project management skills;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
