Job Title: Senior Construction Cost Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Cost Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

About the Role:

  • Estimate costs of materials, labour and equipment required for construction projects
  • Oversee project budgets and ensure costs stay within budgeted amounts
  • Prepare and administer contracts for construction projects
  • Control costs throughout the construction project
  • Manage changes to project scope and find ways to reduce costs without compromising quality
  • Identify and manage risks associated with construction projects
  • Handle progress claims, payments and finalization of accounts

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of M&E drawings
  • Estimating and quantity measurement skills
  • Experience in pre (tender) and post contract administration
  • Knowledge of construction sequence and change order processes
  • Organized and process-oriented
  • Cost-sensitive and eye for detail
  • Possess analytical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying or equivalent
