Summary As the sales Deputy Managing Director, he/she will be responsible for the sales of linear motion products, mainly linear guides, throughout Southeast Asia and Oceania. Plan and implement regional strategies based on global policy. To lead sustainable business growth by strengthening and expanding sales, building relationships with key customers, and working closely with Japan headquarter. Responsibilities (1) Sales strategy and business development Develop and implement sales strategies for Southeast Asia and Oceania to achieve sales targets. Promote the development of new customers and new markets based on market trends and analysis of competitors in each country. Strengthen the approach to key major industrial sectors such as semiconductors, automation equipment, and machine tools. Setting and monitoring annual sales targets, profit plans and market share targets. (2) Regional sales management Oversees sales branches and distributors in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines) and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand). Provide guidance and support to sales managers and distributors in each country to improve sales efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsible for final approval and governance of pricing strategies, sales contracts, terms of trade, etc. (3) Human resource development and organizational management. Recruit, train, and evaluate sales teams in each country in order to build a high-performance organization. Strengthening the collaboration with other departments such as technical support, logistics, and customer service. Promoting balance between a global perspective and local responsiveness. (4) Collaboration with HQ Japan Regularly report sales results, sales forecasts, and market information to headquarter. Plan strategy with HQ sales department and participate in global meetings as needed. Regularly provide feedback the collected market information to headquarter in order to lead new product development and product improvement. Continously research future market trends and customer needs in order to catch-up and understand regional trends. (5) Collecting market information and providing feedback to headquarter To do reporting and communicate with Japan headquarter in Japanese. Requirements Academic Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred. ( 1 ) Work experience Minimum 20 years of experience in sales of industrial products (including over 15 years of experience in linear motion products such as linear motion guides, ball screws, and actuators). Have experience in overseeing sales in Asia or globally. Have an extensive network with major customers in the semiconductor, automation, and machine tool industries. Have experience and a track record in developing supplier for sales items, and have experience in planning for new products (related to IOT products). ( 2 ) Language ability Japanese: Fluent in business level or above to be able to communicate with counterparts in Japan headquarter. English or Chinese: Fluent in business level or above to be able to communicate with relevant stakeholders. Able to speak other Asian languages (Thai, Vietnamese, etc.) will be an advantage. (3) Personality and skills A leader who has both strategic thinking with on-site sensibility. Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
