The Deputy Director will partner and support the Head of CEP in charting out the future growth and strategy of the CEP Department to support the Organisation’s goals. As the Deputy Head, the Deputy Director is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Support the department Head in strategic planning and budgeting in support of the Organisation’s goals and service strategy
- Translate strategy into actionable goals for the department’s performance and growth
- Responsible for the department’s smooth day-to-day operations in managing donors, volunteers and supporters, lending support and guidance to the various Team Leads
- Responsible for leading the events team in conceptualising, planning and executing fundraising events to achieve income goals
- Oversee the marketing team in providing publicity support to the department to raise awareness of our fundraising efforts and the work of the Society as part of stakeholder education
- Identify best practices and continually improve SOPs, promoting a culture of professional excellence
- Oversee the implementation of any new fundraising and support initiatives in positioning the department for growth
- Assist with cultivating relationships with key donors and supporters to secure and expand funding sources
- Represent the organisation at relevant conferences, networking events, meetings etc as needed
- Prepare strategic reports and insights for the Board, Standing Committee and management to track performance and identify trends, gaps and opportunities to position the department for success
- Assist the Head with resource management, including charting the professional development and performance management of talents within the department

**Competencies, qualifications and requirements**:

- Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritise while managing multiple projects and tasks
- Proven track record of delivering high performing events
- Knowledge of marketing tools and digital marketing platforms
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work well with diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Chinese would be an advantage to engage Chinese-speaking donors and volunteers.
- Minimum degree holder with at least 10 years of experience in managerial position, preferably in events/marketing/business development and a proven track record in team management
- Self-starter, highly organised, meticulous, enthusiastic and passionate team player
