Role Purpose And Responsibilities
We are seeking a technically adept and analytically driven Solutions
Specialist to join our Pre Sales team
and serve as the scientific interface between our platform's capabilities and customer needs across the APAC region. This role is instrumental in facilitating evidence-based customer engagements by leading rigorous technical discovery, delivering data-rich and use case-specific demonstrations, and providing expert guidance grounded in scientific methodologies and quantitative insight throughout the sales process. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer success teams to ensure solution delivery is underpinned by robust scientific logic, methodological transparency, and alignment with both customer objectives and regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical engagements throughout the sales cycle by delivering methodologically grounded product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) that validate Treefera's platform capabilities
- Partner with the sales team to analyze customer requirements, ensuring precise translation of client goals into technical specifications, and maintaining seamless collaboration between commercial and technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate and lead client meetings, following through on technical discussions, documenting progress, and tracking engagement milestones using Hubspot to ensure forward momentum across complex sales cycles.
- Demonstrate platform proficiency by navigating advanced features on the app and conducting API-based demonstrations, helping clients understand the technical and operational value of Treefera's solution across diverse use cases.
- Engage in active listening and diagnostic consultation, translating customer challenges into structured technical hypotheses, and identifying how Treefera's platform can provide measurable, scientifically supported outcomes.
- Interface with platform, science, and engineering teams, channeling structured client feedback into product development processes, and helping prioritize features that advance scientific accuracy and user applicability.
- Represent Treefera at industry events, articulating the value of the platform through technical presentations, panel participation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Travel occasionally to support clients on-site, deliver technical briefings, lead configuration workshops, and strengthen customer relationships through scientific and operational alignment.
Key requirements - what you will bring to the table
The key skills and aptitudes to be successful in this role are:
- 3+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, or a similar technical role, ideally within data-driven, environmental, or AI-powered platforms.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear, accessible way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in running product demos, both API & App based, setting up PoCs, and configuring software solutions to match client needs.
- Excellent organizational skills, with experience in managing schedules, following up with clients, and tracking progress in CRM systems.
- Proficiency with internal software tools and a quick learner when it comes to mastering new systems.
- A keen listener with the ability to empathize with customer pain points and suggest appropriate solutions.
- A proactive problem solver, able to spot opportunities and connect clients with relevant stakeholders to drive further engagement.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and technical teams to ensure smooth collaboration and high-quality client outcomes.
- Apply deep technical knowledge to critically assess and review client requirements, ensuring each solution is not only fit-for-purpose but scientifically and operationally sound.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally and engage clients in person, fostering strong long-term relationships.
- A strong interest in applied AI, remote sensing, decarbonisation and risk and how these areas can be operationalized to deliver traceability, compliance, and nature-based insights at scale is highly desirable.
- A scientific background, or an affinity for understanding scientific concepts, methods, and data interpretation, is also a plus, particularly for engaging with technically complex customer use cases.
