Job Opening: Level 1 Support Engineer (IT Service Desk / Remote Support)

Employment Type: Full-time, Shift-based

Work Mode: Onsite

Nationality: Only Singaporeans

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Level 1 Support Engineer to join our Shared Services team. You will be the first point of contact for end users, providing technical assistance and resolving IT-related incidents and service requests via phone and email. This is a shift-based role in a 24/7 support environment, ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide First Call Resolution (FCR) through phone and email for IT issues and requests
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues as needed
  • Log, classify, and update incidents accurately in the ticketing system
  • Ensure consistent follow-up and timely closure of all tickets
  • Collaborate with team members to meet SLAs and service performance metrics
  • Escalate unusual or critical issues to the Team Lead when necessary

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Higher Nitec in IT or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT Support, Service Desk, or Desktop Support

Technical Skills

  • Basic troubleshooting in Windows Operating Systems
  • Familiarity with Active Directory user administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and mobile device support

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal abilities
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
  • Responsible, detail-focused, and proactive
