With 14 offices in six continents, our long-standing relationships within the sector are founded on local knowledge and mutual respect.Role Summary The main purpose of a Shipbroker is to act as a specialist intermediary/negotiator between shipowners and charterers to arrange ocean transport of goods and commodities by sea, the employment of a vessel or to buy/sell ships on behalf of a client. Key Attributes At least 5 years experience working in a shipbroking or chartering firm A Maritime degree from a reputable university will be highly regarded An in-depth knowledge of the Dry Cargo market Candidates should have existing key relationships with Dry Cargo clients and must be able to develop new business Good commercial judgement with excellent negotiation skills Driven, self-motivated and client focused Strong numeracy and presentation skills Strong attention to detail An outgoing and confident personality Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian to liaise with desk's clients Proficient in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word) Special Job Requirements Travel as required.
