
Customer Support Specialist

Overview Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Specialist (CSS) to join the Starline Team in Tuas, Singapore. The CSS responds to a wide variety of customer inquiries including requests for pricing, preparing quotations, processing orders, providing order status, expediting orders, requests for literature, and more. What Will You Do?Develop good customer relations and provide support to Regional Sales Managers and assigned independent sales representatives. Collaborate with internal departments in a team-based environment to ensure the customer’s needs are met. Enter orders received via email using the ERP system. Prepare quotes; quotes are primarily developed by independent sales representatives, with the CSS providing assistance as needed; quotes are entered in the ERP system. Resolve customer service issues including tracking orders, confirming ship dates, issuing returns, coordinating with production to ship on time, and informing customers of delays. With assistance from a Senior Customer Support Specialist, provide technical assistance regarding products, create material lists from specification drawings, recommend changes to bills of materials, and complete owner’s manuals and customer submittals. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or 1–3 years of experience in a customer service, inside sales or other service-related role and a high school diploma required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required. Proven ability to learn and apply knowledge gained. Prior experience using an ERP system is a plus. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Knowledge of customer service principles and processes, including needs assessment and evaluating customer satisfaction. Attention to detail. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, file management, and other office procedures. Active listening and effective verbal and written communication. Time management and ability to meet deadlines. Service orientation and critical thinking. Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships. Ability to learn and understand the technical aspects of manufactured products. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Office setting. Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
